01What Trainic is and what it is not

Trainic is a fitness app for your phone. You log meals, workouts, weigh-ins, water, sleep and habits, and it calculates a few daily targets from general formulas and shows you how things are going.

Trainic is not a medical service, a medical device, a personal trainer, a dietitian or a doctor. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. It does not replace professional advice.

02Accepting these terms

When you create an account and use the app, you agree to these terms, to the Privacy Policy and to the Health Disclaimer. The three are meant to be read together.

If you do not agree with them, the best thing is not to use the app. We would both rather know the deal up front.

03Your account

To use the app you need an account, with an email address and a password. That account is your responsibility:

• use a real email address you can access - that is how you recover your password;
• pick a strong password and do not share it;
• whatever happens in your account is on you, including if someone else uses it with your permission.

An account is for one person and is not meant to be shared. The data you enter should be your own.

If you suspect someone else has got into your account, change the password immediately and write to us at contact@trainic.app.

04Minimum age

You must be at least 16 years old to use Trainic. The app is not designed for children and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.

05The app is free

Trainic has no subscription, no in-app payments, no purchases and no ads. We do not ask for card details, because there is nothing to charge you for.

If that ever changes, we will tell you in advance. Nothing will ever be charged without your explicit agreement.

06What you may and may not do

You may use the app the way it was meant to be used: personally, for your own training and meals.

You may not:

• use it for anything illegal or to harm anyone;
• try to access other people's accounts, or parts of the system you are not meant to reach;
• scrape data automatically, overload the servers or abuse the AI features;
• decompile, modify or create derivative versions of the app, beyond what the law expressly allows you;
• upload illegal content, content that belongs to someone else, or photos of other people who have not agreed to it;
• resell, rent out or redistribute the app.

If you do any of this, we may suspend or close your account.

07Your content stays yours

Everything you put in - your data, your notes and your progress photos - stays yours. We claim no ownership over it, we never publish it and we never use it for anything else.

You only give us a limited, strictly technical right: to store, display and process your content so we can provide the app's features - for example showing your photo on the progress screen, or sending a photo off to be estimated when you ask for it. That right ends the moment you delete the content or your account.

You are responsible for what you upload: it should be yours and it should not infringe anyone else's rights.

08AI features

A few features use an artificial intelligence model: estimating food from a photo, estimating body measurements from a photo, and the Coach suggestions.

Their output consists of automatically generated estimates. It can be wrong, sometimes badly. It is not medical advice, it is not guaranteed, and it should not be treated as an exact measurement. Think of it as a rough second opinion, not a verdict.

09Intellectual property

The app itself - the Trainic name, the logo, the character, the texts, the design and the code - belongs to us and is protected by law.

You may use it personally and non-commercially, the way it is intended. You may not copy, modify or reuse parts of it without our written permission.

10Availability of the service

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will run without interruption, without errors, or that it will always be reachable.

It may go down for maintenance. It depends on outside services that sometimes fail. Features may change or be removed. The numbers it calculates are not guaranteed to suit your particular situation either - they are estimates based on general formulas.

11Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

• we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data, loss of income, or the consequences of decisions you make based on information in the app;
• we are not liable for injuries or health problems arising from training or eating patterns you follow. See the Health Disclaimer;
• we are not liable for outages of the external services the app depends on.

The app is free and it is built by one person. You have paid nothing for it, and that is reflected in the level of risk we can reasonably carry.

Nothing in these terms removes liability that cannot lawfully be removed, and nothing affects the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

12How it ends

From your side: you can leave whenever you want. Delete your account under Settings - My account and everything goes with it. No permission needed, no explanation needed.

From our side: we may suspend or close an account if you break these terms, if you use the app in a way that endangers other users or the system, or if the law requires it. Where the situation is not urgent, we will give you a heads-up by email first.

If we ever shut the app down entirely, we will announce it in good time and leave you a reasonable window to export your data.

13Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Romanian law.

If a disagreement comes up, write to us first at contact@trainic.app. Almost everything gets sorted that way, without lawyers and without stress.

If we still cannot find a solution, the courts of Romania have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you keep the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your own country, and you keep all the rights your local consumer protection law gives you.

In Romania you can also use alternative dispute resolution through the National Authority for Consumer Protection - anpc.ro. The European online dispute resolution (ODR) platform was shut down by the European Commission in July 2025 and can no longer be used.

14Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for instance when new features arrive. We put the new version on this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will also tell you inside the app.

Using the app after the new terms take effect means you accept them. If you do not accept them, you can delete your account at any time.
